My story
I grew up in Germany, in a small town whose only ‘exotic’ restaurant was a pizzeria. It was only when I moved to the big smoke that I entered a whole new culinary world that was waiting for me to be discovered. My very first cookbook was a tiny Indian cookbook, where every page revealed a new ingredient I fell in love with.
Over the last two decades, I have mainly worked in events management, which suited my organisational skills, but ultimately I feel the happiest when I can be creative and share things of beauty with the world. I knew from a young age that there was an artist inside me, so in 2018 I set out and combined my two loves, food and artistry, to become a creative in the food industry.
The whole process of telling a food or drink story through my camera lens excites me. Sometimes this starts in the kitchen, with recipe development and putting the creation into the spotlight. Sometimes it’s the story of a product or an ingredient that needs to be told in a creative way. Sometimes it’s all in the edit. But ultimately, my goal is to get the viewer’s mouth-watering.
In my free time, you won’t find me far from the kitchen. Most weekends I tuck into a dough in some shape or form, baking sourdough bread. I’ve also been teaching Swing dancing with my husband for the last decade, and recently been enjoying cycling along the rail trails in country Victoria.
